It has been said that wig making is one of the most ancient of the minor arts, a profession reaching back through the centuries to today .  

Wigs are transformative, allowing us to view ourselves from another perspective. They may be used to create a fantasy, conceal a bad hair day, create a new look or support us as we move through a difficult time in life, restoring confidence and a sense of beauty. 

When I sit  at my bench and see a blank wooden wig block staring back at me , I am excited! As I sew the foundation I begin to see the person looking at me from the block.  Tying knot after knot I see the collection of colors, textures on the wig lace  begin to frame the face I see on the block and become that person. It is a magical process for me and I am delighted and awed with each piece.
